The cutest class ever!! :)

I can’t believe my practicum is over! I miss my kids sooooooooo much! My last day at school was so sad! Meloney dropped us off like she always does, but this time I could see my whole class in the window of our classroom watching and waiting for me. It was adorable. As soon as I got out of the car Marylynn ran over and gave me a hug. She was followed by the entire rest of my class. I had a swarm of students following me through the school and into the staff room. I put my lunch away and they all followed me inside the staff room and then back to our classroom. It was so cute! They all had so many things to tell me! Marylynn had a big poster/card she had made me and she gave me a Cadbury chocolate bunny! Hemi gave me these chocolate coconut ball things that were delicious! I got lots of little treats and cards from all of my students and it was so great :) We watched an Easter movie in the morning and during the middle block we did Easter activities. Then we had a shared lunch and we had so much fun together! After lunch we just kind of hung out until assembly. Then for assembly my reading group wanted to share their nature collages we did. So we talked about how we read an article about a class that made nature collages so we decided to make nature collages of our faces. Then me, Rachel, Andrea, Sasa (from my class) and four girls from Rachel’s class did the cup song from Pitch Perfect. It was so much fun! At the beginning of assembly the choir sang their school song and the national anthem (so cute!) and then in the middle they sang The Climb by Miley Cyrus! It was absolutely adorable! I love listening to them sing! Then they surprised us by doing a Haka for us!!!! They started with an action dance that the choir and the seniors did. Then the seniors did the Haka for us. It was amazing!!! It meant so much because we knew the boys up there doing it and they were just kids! It was one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. Me and Rachel have watched our video of it probably 10 times since then. We can’t get enough :) Then at the end of the day my kids just kept giving me hugs and not letting go. It was so cute and so sad! One of my boys even cried! They just kept asking me to take them back to America with me because I was the best teacher ever. I was so sad and I cried that night when I went to bed. Every time I think about my kids I tear up still! I just love them so much. Also, Malachi wasn’t there on my last day and that was sad. I’m so worried about him. I just want to take him home with me! I’m hoping to go visit my class again before I leave so hopefully he’ll be there then. This practicum was such a great experience for me. I learned so much about teaching and had a lot of practice teaching! I had such a diverse class that I was able to learn about a lot of different learning styles and it was just so much fun! I really wish I could stay at that school with those kids. It was such a fun environment. Some of the teachers had very different management skills than I do but they were all so nice and so much fun! I seriously can’t even express how much I love those students and that school :)
