Border Control, Wagamama, and Justin Bieber

So I made it to London!

The flights weren't too bad. I flew from Salt Lake to Chicago first and the view from the plane was amazing! I hadn't seen Chicago in so long! I miss the midwest sometimes :( I was also lucky enough to have an empty seat next to me so I could stretch out and actually get some sleep. Then in Chicago I boarded my plane to London! It was huge! And I also had an open seat next to me again! Woohoo! I decided to watch the new Sherlock Holmes movie and about half an hour in I fell asleep. But I woke up just in time for dinner! It was surprisingly not too bad. Then I took some dramamine and it totally knocked me out. I slept for a good 3 and a half hours which was nice but I do remember waking up at one point to a bunch of commotion. I'm not sure what happened but all I saw was a man lying on the floor and then a few minutes later he had a pillow under his head and the flight attendant was talking to him. I thought I heard someone say something about collapsing or fainting but I was half asleep and when I woke up again he was gone. So that was kinda weird. Finally we touched down in London and everything here is so green! I couldn't wait to go outside! And then I saw the line to go through border control. There were like 200 people in line and only one person working at the desk. I thought I was going to die. After a 2 and a half hour wait I made it through and found my way to my flat.

It was so weird because my body was ready to sleep but it was only 10:30 am here when I made it to the flat. Seriously, my body is so confused right now. Anyways, me and Brittany decided to go explore the area and find some food. We walked down to the Tesco and bought some food for breakfast and we decided to buy the rest of our groceries tomorrow. Then we found this little pub and had some fish and chips for lunch. It was really yummy! Then we walked back to the flat and thought that we could plan what we wanted to do tomorrow but I ended up falling in and out of sleep even though I was trying so hard to stay awake! So after a few hours we had a little orientation meeting about the flats and then we went to dinner. On the way we saw this huge crowd of girls yelling, "Justin, Justin, Justin." And then I remembered that Justin Bieber was in town to promote his new album coming out this June. So we stood there for awhile and we saw him come wave at the window and then we watched him drive away to an interview. His hotel is just down the street from our flat so I bet we'll run into him one of these days :) Then we finally made it to Wagamama for dinner. It's this cute little asian restaurant on High Street Kensington and it was delicious! Then we took the tube to Westminster and saw Big Ben, Parliament, and the London Eye all lit up. It was beautiful! And I finally feel like I really am in London. It's still a bit surreal but I'm loving every minute of it :)

It's kind of hard to tell but that's a rainbow
