Yesterday we had class and then we all went to a matinee performance of Chariots of Fire. They've turned it into a play and it will be running in the West End after it's premier run, which is what we saw. I enjoyed the play overall but the first half moved really slow. I was so tired and it was so long so I did fall asleep a little bit. However, after the intermission it was much better. The second act was shorter and had more action. We also met one of the girls in the show because she is LDS and Brittany's uncle knows her. She was so nice and super adorable. She talked to us all about what it's like being an actress in London and stuff like that. It was awesome! Then after that we went over to see if there were any tickets left to see Lion King later that night and they had some student rush tickets! So we bought our tickets and then went to look for some food. We wanted crepes but the line at the restaurant was too long and we didn't have enough time to wait. It was really warm out so I decided that I could do with just having something cool to drink. So I tried an iced lemonade from Cafe Nero and it was pretty good. It definitely hit the spot! Then we walked back to the theater and got ready for the show! I was so excited to see Lion King and I'm glad I was able to because it was amazing! Oh my goodness, it was definitely one of my favorite plays that I've seen! It was very entertaining and visually appealing. The actors were great and the set was amazing! It was just a beautiful show and it was so much fun to watch! I will definitely be taking my children to see this play if it's still running. I'm so happy I got to see it!
Then today we all got up and went to Hampton Court Palace as a group. The palace was beautiful and it had some really nice gardens. It was really cool to read all about the Tudors and Henry VIII. The only thing is that it was soooooooo hot today!! The sun has been out for the last few days and it has been nice but today was so hot. I love the sun and being outside but I can only handle the heat for so long. So by the time we got home I was exhausted from being out in the sun all day. So I got my blog post done about Rome and spent some time getting caught up on homework. Then me, Meghan, Brittany, and Abby had a very spontaneous dance party in the living room. Haha, it was so much fun! We were dancing around and singing at the top of our lungs to classic songs like Total Eclipse of the Heart. Hahahaha, it was great! Then me and Meghan watched This Means War. It was so funny! I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would! Tomorrow is our day off so I'm excited to sleep in and see the things in London that I haven't had a chance to see yet! I'll add pictures tomorrow :)
Also my professors said this in class on Monday...
- Tim: The girls that win will get the booty at the break. Phil: What is this, a booty call?!
