Chillin' at the beach and watching the rain :)

Yesterday we got up and went to the beach! It was beautiful! It was a little windy and chilly though so I didn’t get in the water but a lot of the girls went canoeing and boogie boarding. I took a bunch of pictures though! And I got really sunburned… ouch. We spent a few hours at the beach and then we went over to a different beach so some of the girls could go to a surfing lesson. It was really cool to watch and I took a ton of really great pictures! It was a pretty chill day over all just hanging out at the beach. On our way home we stopped and got some fish and chips for dinner. So good! That was one of my favorite meals in London so I was so happy to eat it here. Also, they have Nando’s here and I’ve been seriously craving it ever since I came back to the states. I’m so excited to eat there again! When we got home we all took turns washing our hair with the cold hose water. It wasn’t ideal but it sure felt good to be clean! Then we changed into comfy clothes and played card games for a long time. I’m so ready to be at my host family’s house and in a real bed! I’m not a camper so this whole camping thing just really isn’t my favorite but I’m making it work. It cools off nicely at night though so at least it’s not too hot for me to sleep! And we just found out that James’ family has wifi here and we can use it! Yay! It’s a bit sketchy though so sometimes it doesn’t work but it’s better than having to drive all the way in to town to the McDonald’s to use the internet. These first few days have been rough and will probably continue to be rough until I’m at my host family’s house but I love it here. I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how beautiful it is J

Today was super chill. It rained all day and I loved it! Everyone to go on this hike through the water and a cave but I get claustrophobic so I decided to stay in the tent and hang out. I finished the fourth Percy Jackson book (It was awesome by the way!) and just sat and listened to the rain. Now everyone is back and we are going to watch Pitch Perfect (great movie!) and eat snacks and hang out. It’s so cool to say that I’m living in New Zealand right now! I love it here!

P.S. My address while I’m here is 18 Marie Crescent South, Hendersen, Auckland 0610 and I would love to get some mail J
