This morning we had class. Then we all came back and ate some lunch and finished our homework. Then we headed over to Kensington Palace and walked through all of the exhibits inside. It was so pretty and the exhibit they had about Queen Victoria was amazing! They also had a small room dedicated to Princess Diana and they had some of her dresses and pictures of her. It was awesome! I took tons of pictures so you can look through all of them to see what we saw. The palace really was beautiful and I can't even imagine what it must be like to live there. I would love to be a Princess and live in a big palace like that! Will and Kate live there right now but we haven't had any sightings of them yet. Some other girls in my group saw Kate walking her dog in Hyde Park but I was not with them. After exploring the palace we went and had high tea at the Orangery! It was delicious! And I got the full english tea thing so I had this tiered thing with finger sandwiches, treats, and a scone. I really want to go back and do that again but it was really expensive so I might have to wait a little bit. It was so fun!! They were also filming some footage for an antique road show special for the Diamond Jubilee. I was disappointed when I found out there weren't any celebrities around and it was just an antique road show. Haha, anyways, then we went home and couldn't think of anything else to do. So we decided to go exploring around South Kensington to find crepes or gelato. We ended up walking around for a good two hours and we finally found some really yummy gelato. It was so fun! We also found a place where Beatrix Potter lived. It was awesome. Exploring is one of my favorite things to do because I really just love this city! It's great :)
Things British people say...
-"But daddy, I ate some food yesterday!"
-There were some cute little girls singing a song while they walked through the rain in Hyde Park but I can't remember what they were singing. They were adorable though!
Things Brittany and Janessa say... (just so you know, a lot of these are taken out of context...Haha, and Brittany likes to be sarcastic)
-B: I die every day thinking when am I going to get to be a
prostitute?
-J: I’m just not a fan of… B: Stalin? I am.
-B: I’m really tired. J: You should… have a Coke! B: Do you
have any drugs? I want some of those, too.
-J: Is that the beer one? B: Yes I really want to get drunk
tonight. Can we go to Soho? Cause I’m really feeling it.
-J: I don’t know if she was a prostitute. She just wore
skanky clothes. B: Oh yeah, wearing skanky clothes definitely makes you a
prostitute. AHHHH, I’m a prostitute!
-Becca: It’s ok Janessa, you can just be like “be quite
prostitute.”
-B: Did you know that crepes originated in Brittany? J:
Creeps???!! B: No, crepes.

ReplyDeleteI am so glad you included that picture of the squirrel. Also, I need to get some of your pictures from the palace because yours turned out better than mine. And your quotes taken out of context make me sound crazy. That is all.
